Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee has seen his career absolutely ravaged by injuries, and this past season, he played in just seven games.

However, after considering retirement, he elected to come back for another season in 2019, and now, he is ready for his new role:

“The situations, some of them are very similar to what I've done in the past where I'm off the ball and able to run, sometimes on the ball; try to pride myself on being versatile, being able to adapt, being able to play different positions and learn them and hopefully become an expert at it,” Lee said, according to Todd Archer of ESPN. “I have a ton of help. I love being out there, and I think I'll improve as I go.”

Of course, talent has never been the issue with Lee, who has made a couple of Pro Bowls while also notching a First-Team All-Pro selection. Staying on the field has been the problem.

Lee missed the entire 2014 campaign with a torn ACL, and the last two seasons, he has played in just 18 games total due to various injuries. Since entering the league in 2010, Lee has never played a full 16-game campaign.

But the 33-year-old isn't giving up:

“Hey, I'm 10 years into this, but I still think I have a lot to provide; I'm still working to get better every day,” said Lee.

The Cowboys are coming off of a 2018 campaign in which they won 10 games and captured the NFC East division title. They then went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs before falling to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round the next week.
