In the last few days, the Dallas Cowboys have had a couple of their offensive lineman deal with injuries as Pro Bowl center Travis Frederick is the latest to go through that with issues pertaining to his neck.

Frederick has already gone through tests that have shown no structural damage to his shoulder that has pushed him to avoid any major injury. However, head coach Jason Garrett has stated that the Pro Bowler will go see a specialist to get more clarity on his neck stingers that have flared up in training camp, according to Todd Archer of ESPN.

Jason Garrett said Pro Bowl center Travis Frederick will see more specialists as he deals with stingers that have been an issue for most of training camp. Last week, Frederick saw Dr. Robert Watkins in Los Angeles, who confirmed the stinger issue but said Frederick is not suffering from something more severe. Frederick will not play again in the preseason but the team hopes he and right guard Zack Martin will be available for the season opener.

The Cowboys are hoping that Frederick can get past these injury woes as they are counting on him to help anchor the offensive line once again this upcoming season. The 27-year-old has emerged as one of the top players at his position over the last several years that includes four straight Pro Bowl nods, a First-Team All-Pro selection and two Second-Team All-Pro nods.

This is still a fluid situation that does possibly include surgery if necessary, but the team is hoping to avoid that and get him back on the field pain-free from this nagging issue. What has made this more crucial is that Pro Bowl guard Zach Martin is also dealing with an injury that could put his status for the season opener in jeopardy.

These next few days will be huge in determining the next plan of action for Frederick as he works his way back from this persistent issue.
