After beginning the season with three consecutive wins, quarterback Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys faltered. Losing three consecutive games after the team's red-hot start, Prescott and company needed to bounce back. They have. The ‘Boys are rolling early on against the rival Philadelphia Eagles.

Once again leading the Eagles by 14 points in the second quarter, Prescott most recently connected with backup tight end Blake Jarwin to give the Cowboys a commanding 21-7 lead toward the the end of the first half. Playing at home on primetime, the Cowboys have led 7-0, 14-0, 14-7 and now 21-7.

Perhaps leading to the team's resurgence on Sunday Night Football, team owner Jerry Jones recently made some poignant comments regarding the Cowboys' continued struggles.

“I’ll say this. I think the way that we are by virtue of what you saw tonight, the Jets stepping up here and beating us like that,” Jones previously told reporters after his team's latest loss from last week, via NFL.com. “I think it’s all about where you end up in your division. I think the competition against each other and the competition within the division, I think that’s where it all is.

“Now, ultimately, if you’re one of the really top teams, which we’re not, we are not. I hope that someday this season we could be one of the top teams.”

With a win over the Eagles, the Cowboys, Dak Prescott, and Blake Jarwin will stand alone in first place in the NFC East. Dallas will face the rival New York Giants following the team's upcoming bye week.
