The Dallas Cowboys got off to a hot start through the first three weeks of the season. A key reason for that was the strong play of Dak Prescott, but he quickly cooled off. They will look to get back on track against the New York Jets on Sunday.

The start of the season that Prescott had was a true sight to behold and the coaching job that Kellen Moore was doing was the talk of the league. He went 70-of-94 (74.5 percent) on his throws and managed to record 920 yards and nine touchdowns with just a pair of interceptions.

Whether the New Orleans Saints actually figured out Moore's signals or not, they managed to slow down Prescott and the Cowboys offense. The Green Bay Packers picked up from where the Saints left off as well. For reference, Prescott has gone 49-of-77 (63.6 percent) for 686 yards, two interceptions, and four interceptions over his previous two starts.

Here are three bold predictions for Dak Prescott during his matchup with the Jets.

3. Prescott will throw for at least 350 yards

While Ezekiel Elliot is a matchup problem for any defense, the Jets have been better at containing their opponents' rushing attack than their passing game. They have allowed an average of 87.5 rushing yards (7th)

This should provide Prescott with an opportunity to build a rhythm by moving the chains through the air. The Jets allow an average of 260.3 passing yards (21st) and that has come against less than stellar offenses. The Cowboys have averaged 312 passing yards (4th) and will likely look to set the tone through this part of their offense.

No quarterback has thrown for 350 yards against the Jets so far this season. Prescott will be the first to accomplish that feat despite only throwing for over 350 yards during two of his performances this season.

2. Prescott will throw for at least three touchdowns

Managing to record passing touchdowns has been a bit of a struggle for Prescott lately. He went from averaging an impressive three passing touchdowns per game during the first three weeks of the season to just one per game over his last two performances.

The Jets have struggled to contain opposing teams from scoring as they have allowed an average of 25.3 opponent points per game (24th) so far this season. Despite that fact, it is important to note that they only give up an average of 1.2 passing touchdowns per game (11th) and have remained consistent in this area.

Tom Brady's two touchdowns against the Jets was the most that any quarterback has thrown against them this season. However, Prescott will defy the odds and be the first player to throw for three touchdowns against them.

1. Prescott will not throw an interception

It is no secret that Prescott has struggled with throwing interceptions lately. The three that he recorded against the Packers last week were the most that he threw in a single-game since a 37-9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 19, 2017.

The Jets have been solid at forcing takeaways this season. For reference, they have recorded eight total takeaways (T-7th) with that figure being split in half by interceptions and fumbles. They have mostly preyed on inexperienced quarterbacks to achieve that interception total.

There were only two quarterbacks so far this season that came away from a matchup with the Jets without throwing an interception. Those two quarterbacks were Brady and Carson Wentz. Prescott will add his name to that list after this week.
