The biggest blowout of the NBA season occurred Saturday night.

The Portland Trail Blazers never had a chance against the mighty Golden State Warriors, losing 135-90 in a wire-to-wire beatdown.

Point guard Damian Lillard had some choice words after the disappointing defeat.

Via ESPN:

Damian Lillard didn't mince words in criticizing his team, telling ESPN the Blazers' performance was “ridiculous” and that the team's recent slide “is on us,” not the coaches.

“Man, it's OK to turn the ball over, it's OK to make mistakes, but we have to play with some damn heart and compete out there,” he said of his teammates.

It's going to take more than heart to beat the Warriors on that kind of night.

The talent the Warriors possess means that some games, their opponent just doesn't really have a chance. The stars almost need to aline to beat them.

The Blazers hoped they were one of those teams that could challenge Golden State. They haven't shown that yet this season but the year is still far from over.
