For Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, rapping is not just a hobby, but a passion. Over the past few years, he has released a number of singles under his moniker, “Dame Dolla.”

Now that he already has enough material, the two-time NBA All-Star announced on Twitter that he will be releasing his debut album, titled “The Letter O.”

The “O” is a tribute to several places including his hometown of Oakland where he grew up. Ogden, Utah is where Weber State, his alma mater is located. Finally, Oregon is the home state of the Blazers.

Following his announcement, Lillard also released the video of his debut single, “Growth Spurt.”

The album will feature other artists including Lil Wayne, Jamie Foxx, Juvenile, Adrian Marcel, Marsha Ambrosius and Raphael Saadiq.

Lillard is truly a very talented individual as he proved that he is not only a good basketball player but a strong rapper as well. Now that the season is about to start, he will shift his attention from music to leading his team to win more games and possibly a deeper run in the playoffs in the 2016-2017 season.
