UFC President Dana White is never afraid to make outrageous claims. The latest one includes fighters being scared of Khamzat Chimaev.

There is no doubt that Khamzat Chimaev is a very hyped UFC contender. He has been very dominant since arriving in the UFC and recently returned in October with an excellent performance.

“Khamzat Chimaev is one of the baddest dudes that I’ve ever come across and is literally willing to fight anyone and doesn’t care what the timeframe is or any of that stuff,” Dana White told “The Jim Rome Podcast” on Wednesday. “He’s one of the baddest dudes that I’ve ever come across.”

There's no doubt Khamzat Chimaev is a tough fight for anyone, but many UFC fighters will take exception with the claim. There have been a plethora of welterweights that have called for a fight with the Swedish fighter.

Gilbert Burns, Neil Magny, and Colby Covington have all spoken about facing him. The UFC President isn't so sure any of the call-outs are actually real.

“Nobody wants to fight this guy,” White said. “Everybody wants to get out on social media and say this or say that. But when it really comes down to it, nobody’s trying to fight Khamzat Chimaev. I don’t blame them. But at the end of the day when you’re a professional fighter – this is what you do – you should look at a guy with as much hype and as much bravado as Chimaev has, as a huge opportunity.”

So the question is- are UFC fighters scared of Khamzat Chimaev? Dana White was quite clear in his response.

“Yes, 100 percent (guys are afraid of him),” White said. “100 percent.”
