With the Draft Combine currently in full swing, coaches are having the opportunity to take a closer look at some of the players who have declared for this year's draft. Although already a top prospect, De'Aaron Fox still opted to join the event to further boost his stock and show everyone he is the real deal.

The Kentucky product is aware of where he stands in the consensus picks, but feels he is a cut above the rest of the point guard pool. He has a lot of confidence in his game, and said to the Associated Press via USA Today Sports, that he thinks he is the best point guard available.

“I feel like I'm the best. If they're drafted above me, I'm cool with it. You have to play basketball at the end of the day.”

Fox's statement is definitely a bold claim, especially with fellow playmakers, Lonzo Ball and Markelle Fultz, expected to be selected early in the lottery. However, he also has a strong point, and his numbers in college can back it up. He had a very solid season in the NCAA where he averaged 16.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game. The 19-year-old even had the upper hand against Ball in the Sweet Sixteen, as he led the Wildcats with 39 points points, to eliminate the UCLA Bruins.

It remains to be seen how high he'll be taken, but with the impressive skills he has, plus his high confidence in himself, it could be what NBA teams are looking for, and there might even be a shocking development early on in the draft should Fox be selected earlier than expected.
