DeMarcus Cousins and Brittney Griner have been having some fun in Rio.

Griner, the starting center for the U.S. women's basketball team, said last week that she would love to get a chance to play Cousins in one-on-one.

Cousins was asked about those comments and it looked like he's not interested in the challenge.

The challenge by Griner was clearly light-hearted. Here's what she said in the first place:

I would love to just go out there and play against (Cousins). We talk a lot of crap to each other. I love talking to him. He’s really funny. I would love to just go out there and play against him. I’ve never really been around him before until now, but he’s like that big brother, just to talk smack to and who is always competitive. He’s awesome.

It's pretty obvious what would happen if this really did take place. The best centers in the world are already having a tough time handling Cousins. There's no chance Griner could do anything against him.

But it would be entertaining and it could make for good video. So in that sense, it'd be great to see.

Cousins and his teammates need to focus on the primary reason they're in Rio right now. They're coming off three close wins and are now in the knockout stage where they'll see Argentina for their first game. It's time to get serious.
