Corbin Carroll and the Arizona Diamondbacks have done it. For the first time since Randy Johnson and the 2001 D'backs, Arizona is going to the World Series after taking down Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies on the road in Game 7 of the 2023 National League Championship Series Tuesday night.

As expected, Diamondbacks and MLB fans in general are lighting up social media with all sorts of reactions to Arizona's NLCS success.

The Diamondbacks exuded a true never-say-die mentality in the Phillies series. Philadelphia looked like it was going to make quick work of Arizona when the Phillies won the first two games of the NLCS. But Arizona hit back and won both Games 3 and 4 at home. The Phillies retook the series lead by stealing a win in Arizona in Game 5 before the Diamondbacks forced Game 7 with a win in Game 7 Monday night.

Carroll stepped up big time for the Diamondbacks in Game 7, with the rookie showing the poise of a veteran, finishing the contest 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. So far in the 2023 MLB postseason, Carroll is batting .302/.404/.465 with two home runs and six RBIs.

The Diamondbacks' Cinderella run continues

Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll is stunning Phillies with historic Game 7 outing

The Diamondbacks concluded the regular season second in the NL West with only an 84-78 record, just good enough to secure the third and final Wild-Card ticket in the NL. But here they are, already getting ready for the World Series.

The focus now for the Diamondbacks is on completing their Cinderella run in the Fall Classic where they will be meeting American League champions Texas Rangers.
