Sad news, Digimon fans. Digimon Survive is once again delayed. Everyone was expecting to finally play the game this year. However, plans often get changed. Digimon Survive’s release date is now pushed to an unspecified date in 2022.

Digimon Survive was initially announced way back in July 2018. The game was supposedly set to release come 2019. In fact, we even got to see some significant gameplay footage. The gameplay showcased the karma and intimacy system utilized in the game. But from the planned release date in 2019, the project was further delayed another year. Publishers BANDAI NAMCO wanted Digimon Survive to have a 2020 release date, which didn't happen as well. Game Producer Kazumasa Habu stated back in October 2020 that the game will once again be further delayed, this time to 2021. The developers, Witch Craft, had to reboot their development of the game, which explained the delay.

However, Digimon Survive gets yet another delay. TOEI Animation, the owners of the license for the Digimon series, announced to stakeholders the decision to push the release further to 2022. This time around, no reasons have been stated as to why the Digimon Survive is getting delayed again.
