Sacramento Kings sophomore De'Aaron Fox has taken the league by storm after struggling in his rookie season. The point guard out of Kentucky has taken huge strides in developing his game, and big names around the league have started to notice.

After Sunday night's victory against the Dallas Mavericks, Fox was praised by Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki as well as coach Rick Carlisle.

Nowitzki and Carlisle were clearly impressed by Fox's performance. The speedy guard dropped 28 points on 11-of-19 shooting, also slinging five assists and getting three steals.

Nowitzki is considered one of the all-time greats, and a compliment from him is something to be proud of. The German forward has played with countless All-Stars, and to specifically single out De'Aaron Fox as a good ballplayer must make the New Orleans native proud.

Fox has been the leader of a Kings team that has shocked the league this season.

With a roster mostly built around younger players, the Kings were not expected to come close to contention this year. Instead, the team has become one of the better offensive teams in the league. Through over a third of the season, the Kings lead the league in three-point percentage. If, before the season, someone had claimed a team built around Fox, Buddy Hield, and Willy Cauley-Stein would outshoot Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and company for any portion of the season, they would probably be laughed out of the building.

As De'Aaron Fox continues to grow, heads will continue to turn around the NBA, and the Kings could fast-track their way back to contention.
