The Los Angeles Dodgers had another impressive regular season in 2023 as they ended up winning the National League West division and earning a bye in the first round round of the postseason. The Dodgers were one of just a few teams to win 100 games in the regular season as they finished with a 100-62 record. This team was once again one of the best teams in Major League Baseball, and they had World Series aspirations when they entered the playoffs. In the NLDS, the Dodgers took on the Arizona Diamondbacks, who finished in second place in the NL West. While Los Angeles was a big favorite in that series, it didn't matter, and the Diamondbacks swept the Dodgers to end their season.

Now, Arizona is going to the playoffs, and the Dodgers are in the beginning of the offseason. It was a disappointing end to the season for Los Angeles, but this team still has a very bright future.

One thing to keep an eye on in the offseason is the health of the team, and even though the Dodger front office recently told reporters that there weren't any surgeries planned, one Dodgers player did go through surgery: David Peralta.

It's unclear what David Peralta's injury is, but the surgery appears to be on his left elbow, which is his throwing arm.

In 2023, Peralta finished the season hitting .259 with seven home runs, 55 RBIs and a .675 OPS. He signed a one-year deal with the Dodgers, and the team isn't expected to have him back for the 2024 season.
