Trade rumors have been swirling around Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor this offseason, and now, it seems that those rumors are gaining some traction.

According to Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports, the Indians are engaged in serious talks with the Los Angeles Dodgers for Lindor, with Cleveland seeking a package that includes shortstop prospect Gavin Lux and right-handed pitcher Dustin May.

Lindor is coming off a 2019 campaign in which he slashed .284/.335/.518 with 32 home runs, 40 doubles, 74 RBI and 22 stolen bases over 654 plate appearances en route to a fourth straight All-Star appearance. He also nabbed his second Gold Glove.

The 26-year-old was originally selected by the Indians with the eighth overall pick of the 2011 MLB Draft.

He made his big-league debut in 2015, slashing .313/.353/.482 with 12 long balls and 51 RBI across 438 trips to the dish, finishing second in American League Rookie of the Year voting as a result.

The following year, Lindor became a full-timer for Cleveland, slashing .301/.358/.435 with 15 dingers and 78 RBI through 684 plate appearances, making his first All-Star team and winning his first Gold Glove.

Lindor then saw a massive power spike in 2017, as he slashed .273/.337/.505 with 33 homers, 44 doubles and 89 RBI over a hefty 723 trips to the plate, earning another All-Star selection.

The Puerto Rican's power creep continued the following season, as he registered a slash line of .277/.352/.519 with 38 home runs and 92 RBI over 745 plate appearances, landing another All-Star appearance.

The Dodgers are looking to finally get over the hump and win a World Series, as they have won seven straight NL West titles but have lost both of their trips to the Fall Classic during that span.
