The Miami Dolphins suffered another painful loss to the Dallas Cowboys. However, things have changed a bit since Week 2: Josh Rosen made his first start as a Dolphin and looked pretty solid throughout the game.

Armando Salguero was present when the media interviewed head coach Brian Flores after the game. They asked him about Rosen's performance despite the blowout loss. The coach gave a neutral response to the press.

He mentioned earlier in the week that they liked where Rosen's game was at that point and decided to give him the start for the Week 3 game. The former Bruin also took it upon himself to provide some much-needed energy for the Dolphins offense.

“Obviously right now, we need a spark, and I’m going to try and provide that spark; but not by doing anything crazy out of the ordinary from what I’ve done that’s gotten me up to this point in my career,” Rosen said this week after it was announced he would start, per The Phinsider.

And that's exactly what he did. His pass completion was atrocious at 18/39, but he managed to notch 200 passing yards from the pocket. Moreover, he didn't throw any picks during the game.

However, the offensive line brought him down. They weren't able to give him much room as the Cowboys defense managed to get to pressure him in the pocket. He was sacked thrice in the game, mirroring the number of times the New England Patriots brought him down.

The Dolphins and Brian Flores are most likely going to pick a QB in the 2020 Draft, but Rosen is making a case for himself. If he continues to perform like this through the remaining 13 weeks, he may find a starting job in Miami next season.
