Josh Rosen is competing for the starting quarterback job with the Miami Dolphins but to have a chance he needs to learn the playbook and based on his comments that has been stressful. Talking to reporters, Rosen said that his head is swimming with the transition, but he is just trying to take everything a day at a time.

“Yeah, my head is swimming,” Rosen said, via the Palm Beach Post. “But I think a lot of that is just trying to weather the storm as much as you can. It’ll get better a little bit each day. … I think we’re getting better, step by step, trying to break down this offense so I can focus more on playing football than playing against myself.”

It is going to be a real competition for the starting quarterback job, at this point however it seems that Ryan Fitzpatrick has the upper hand because he has been with the team longer. That means he has had his head in the playbook longer and should look better on the field early in offseason training.

The good news for Rosen is training camp isn't for a couple more months, and he is going to have plenty of time to learn the playbook.

Rosen said he is confident in a couple of more weeks he will have the playbook down, and the competition will be on a fair playing field. This is gearing up to be one of the more exciting quarterback battles through the summer and is one to keep a close eye on.
