Kenyan Drake has been a solid back during his first two years with the Miami Dolphins, but with a new coaching staff, there are some questions about how many carries he will get. Drake made it clear that his carries aren't a worry to him as long as the team is winning.

Drake points out that 1,000 yards rushing means nothing if the team doesn't win enough games to make the playoffs.

“I would like to win a lot more games,” Drake said, via the Sun-Sentinel. “That’s my most important thing — whether I get the ball five times or 25 times, if we’re winning games, everybody’s going to get the accolades that they want. All in all, we went [7-9] last year and people had good stat seasons. I had over 1,000 [total] yards, almost double digits in touchdowns — you know, whoop-dee-doo. We didn’t go to the playoffs. We didn’t win enough games.”

Drake was also asked what his role should be with the team this upcoming season and he said he's ready to do whatever the team needs, whether that's catching the ball, running the ball, or even playing special teams. Last season Drake rushed 120 times for 535 yards and four touchdowns, and there is no doubt he should be one of the backs to get carries this season.

If the Dolphins start to lose games early and Drake isn't getting carries, it will be interesting to see if his ideas on the lack of carries change. For now, it seems like Drake is willing to do anything to help the team.
