The Miami Dolphins went into their matchup with the juggernaut New England Patriots hoping to pull off a divisional upset. After losing four straight games, it seemed the Dolphins were willing to do anything to try and get back in the win column.

Miami was even desperate enough to try and get in the head of perhaps the greatest quarterback of all time. According to Tom Curran of NBC Sports, Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills was trash-talking superstar quarterback Tom Brady all afternoon:

“I just was hollering at him all game,” Stills said, via Tom Curran of NBC Sports. “We feel like if we can get in his head, that’s the best way to try and win this game. I was trying to do my part.”

Despite Stills' best attempts, Brady still tossed four touchdowns en route to a 35-17 victory over Miami. Stills added afterward that are no hard feelings between the two.

“I did everything I could to mess with him and get in his head. I talked to him after the game. He hears me. He’s laughing. We’re all just having a good time,” Stills said.

Although it may have been a good time for Brady and the Patriots, the same can't be said for Stills and the Dolphins. The fifth-year wideout finished with three receptions on six targets for 47 yards.

Meanwhile, Miami continues to struggle on both ends amidst their five-game losing streak. Unfortunately, it does not get any easier with a showdown versus the Denver Broncos before squaring off against the Pats again in two weeks.

The lesson here is to not mess with Tom Brady.
