After playing later in the Miami Dolphins' 24-0 victory over the New York Jets in Week 6, fans were excited when it was announced that Tua Tagovailoa, the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, will start on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.

But in just the second snap of the 22-year old's first start, the Rams' defense forces a fumble.

Shortly after completing a 3-yard pass to running back Myles Gaskin, Tagovailoa ran into two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald and the Rams defense.

As the former Alabama star dropped back and prepared to throw the pass, Donald, a six-time Pro Bowler, tapped the ball away from him, before defensive end Michael Brockers takes him down as outside linebacker Leonard Floyd recovers the football fot Los Angeles.

The Rams' defense, which is coming off a strong performance in a 24-10 victory over the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football, showed that it was still in sync, with Donald, Brockers, and Floyd teaming up to pressure Miami's young quarterback. They were able to take advantage of the recovery, with wide receiver Robert Woods scoring a touchdown to give Los Angeles an early 7-0 lead over the Dolphins.

Now, we'll see how Tagovailoa and the Dolphins offense responds after his “Welcome to the NFL” moment.
