Mundo rework comes in as League of Legends‘ 24th reworked character. The new rendition of the character will be coming this June 9 along with Patch 11.12. His new look and abilities doesn't stray far from the character we know and love. Instead, the rework makes the character an even better fit to League‘s current look and style. With his new skills and abilities, some players might end up misunderstanding how the new Mundo plays like. Thankfully, the devs confirmed way before that his playstyle will still be of a tank that can be viable in the Jungle. The rework also comes with an updated lore for Mundo, which retains his comical horror trope. The Frankenstein's monster's got a new mad scientist vibe, being a self-proclaimed physician with zero medical skills.

League of Legends Dr. Mundo Reworked Abilities

Before we delve into the new patch in a couple of weeks, it's important to understand how this new Dr. Mundo differs from the old one. Thankfully, not so much. You can check out his new skillset below:

Goes Where He Pleases (P) – Mundo's passive skill makes him tanky and gives him a lot of sustain. When off-cooldown, his passive blocks the next instance of immobilizing effect in exchange for a portion of his health. Upon hit, Mundo drops a chemical canister. When Mundo picks it up, he regains his lost HP and reduces the passive's cooldown. Enemies can break the canister by stepping over it. To top it all off, Mundo's health regeneration increases based on his Max HP.

Infected Bonesaw (Q) – A ranged skill shot that deals damage and slows the first opponent it hits.

Heart Zapper (W) – Mundo makes himself a walking electric rod! For a few seconds, he electrocutes himself, and enemies around a radius from him get persistent magic damage. The damage he deals with this ability becomes grey health. At the end of the skill's duration, Dr. Mundo bursts and deals even more damage to enemies around him. This skill will allow Dr. Mundo to walk in the middle of fights to either break the enemy position or punish them for staying around.

Blunt Force Trauma (E) – This skill's passive ability gives him increased damage based on his missing health. Its active makes Mundo slam his medical bag to an enemy in front of him, dealing damage based on his missing HP. If the enemy dies they are swatted away, dealing minimum damage to enemies it passes through.

Maximum Dosage (R) – Dr. Mundo's ultimate ability transforms him into an unstoppable monster! Cleaver in hand, he goes berserk, instantly healing a portion of his missing HP. He then continuously heals a portion of his max HP over time. This ultimate also gives him an increased movement speed and attack damage. Use this along with Heart Zapper to make everyone run away from Dr. Mundo, or perish!
