The Philadelphia Eagles have entered training camp with much buzz and excitement around the team in preparation for the 2018 campaign that is just over a month away from beginning.

Philadelphia was able to avoid to Pro Bowl quarterback Carson Wentz from being placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. However, Kevin Patra of NFL.com is reporting that both star wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and defensive end Brandon Graham were placed with that designation.

The team announced Thursday that defensive end Brandon Graham, receiver Alshon Jeffery and special teamer Chris Maragos were placed on the active/PUP list.

This was expected for both as each is recovering from offseason surgery over the last few months. Jeffery is making his way back from a torn right rotator cuff that he played through for the entire 2017 NFL season. It is an injury that takes about four to six months to fully recover from, which should allow for him to be back in the mix at some point in the preseason.

Although Jeffery experienced a notable drop in production during the regular season, he was a huge factor in the passing game in the playoffs recording 12 catches for 219 receiving yards with three touchdowns in three games played. His play was an instrumental part in helping the Eagles to win the Super Bowl as quarterback Nick Foles primary target.

Graham is recovering from ankle surgery that has forced him to miss the offseason workouts over the last couple of months. He is currently in the final year of his deal seeking a new contract after coming off his most productive campaign with a career-high 9.5 sacks, which he has already voiced that he's comfortable playing out.

Both of these players could make their return to the active roster at any point due to being given that designation prior to the start of training camp.
