Unfortunately for the Philadelphia Eagles, they'll be without another one of their cornerbacks for the rest of Thursday's game. Cover man Sidney Jones has been ruled out with a knee injury against the Green Bay Packers, according to the Eagles organization.

The Philly defensive back situation gets worse and worse. Top corner Ronald Darby was ruled out with a hamstring injury earlier in the week. Jalen Mills remains on the PUP  list. That leaves the Eagles with Rasul Douglas, and Avonte Maddox. Maddox has been repeatedly exposed by Packers receiver Davante Adams.  Douglas has held his own all night, but is clearly a downgrade.

Jones started the game against Adams, and didn't fare much better than Maddox. He gave up a deep pass to Adams that eventually led to a Packers touchdown. Even so, Jones would've been a tremendous help in this game.Opposing quarterback Aaron Rodgers is having a field day against the Eagles defense, attacking the cornerbacks over and over. This will end as Rodgers' first game of 2019 season over 300 yards passing.

Hopefully both Jones and Darby can make a speedy recovery and return to the Eagles. In coming weeks, Philly faces the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys, so their return can't come soon enough.
