Much has been made of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz potentially losing his starting gig to rookie QB Jalen Hurts. If you ask DK Metcalf of the Seattle Seahawks, the second-year wide receiver believes that Hurts' time is definitely now.

Responding to a random Instagram poll about the Eagles potentially starting Hurts over Wentz at QB, Metcalf weighed in and made his feelings known (h/t Billy Heyen of SportingNews):

It is worth noting that Metcalf was just one of the dozens who responded in favor of Hurts, which also included Metcalf's teammate in rookie running back DeeJay Dallas.

Wentz hasn't been playing his best football of late, which has prompted questions about his current job security. On Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, Wentz went 21-of-35 on his passes for 235 yards, including two touchdowns and two interceptions. It was a subpar performance from the 27-year-old, and it's no coincidence that the Eagles lost, 22-17.

Interestingly, Philadelphia's next matchup comes in the form of Metcalf and the Seahawks. They will be facing off on Monday for Week 12, and it will be interesting to see if Wentz still gets to start that one. Then again, Eagles coach Doug Peterson has already expressed his confidence in his embattled QB, so barring an unforeseen change of heart, Wentz should be in the starting lineup agaisnt Metcalf and company.

For their part, the Seahawks have lost two of their last three games, and will be looking to log a victory against the struggling Eagles.
