Former Alabama Crimson Tide and Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Jalen Hurts is officially NFL bound after coming off the board in the second round over the weekend. With the Philadelphia Eagles selecting the former collegiate standout pretty early on as a result of the recent 2020 NFL Draft, especially with starting quarterback Carson Wentz currently under center, the team's general manager in Howie Roseman was obviously asked about his decision right off the bat.

“Well, it's not comfortable,” Roseman admitted of his pre-draft conversation with the aforementioned Wentz, via SportsRadio 94WIP. “I'm always gonna be honest with you guys. It's not comfortable.”

Roseman did have a pretty good outing overall as a result of the 2020 NFL Draft as Hurts can most definitely be used alongside Wentz in a variety of different offensive packages — whether the soon-to-be rookie is under center or elsewhere on the field. Not only that, but Roseman also managed to add some speed to the Eagles offense en route to utilizing the team's first-round pick in 2020 on former TCU Horned Frogs wide receiver Jalen Reagor, who can also stretch the field vertically for Philadelphia.

Even with Wentz, Hurts, and Reagor all in place alongside other well-known Eagles players like wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery, running back Miles Sanders and tight end Zach Ertz, Roseman didn't stop there. While in the midst of the 2020 NFL Draft, Roseman managed to acquire veteran wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, also known for his blistering speed, via trade from the San Francisco 49ers.
