The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a disappointing loss in the 2020 NFL season opener. Fortunately, it appears the offense is getting back to full strength heading into Week 2 versus the Los Angeles Rams.

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, running back Miles Sanders and right tackle Lane Johnson are expected to play after sitting out Week 1:

It is safe to say that their absence was certainly missed by Philadelphia after they allowed Washington to score 20 unanswered points to secure the 27-17 victory. To make matters worse, defensive ends Vinny Curry and Brandon Graham also sustained injuries that have left their status for Week 2 in doubt.

The Eagles now plan on ramping up the activity for players returning to the lineup. Sanders has been dealing with a hamstring injury while Johnson is nursing an ankle issue that landed him on the injury report last week. Regardless, nothing appears to be set in stone and any potential setbacks could leave the offense shorthanded once again.

Philadelphia already has their work cut out preparing to take on a Rams' defense that boasts arguably the best player in the NFL in defensive tackle Aaron Donald. Johnson is hoping that he can help serve as a stabilizing factor for this makeshift group up front.

Meanwhile, the potential return of Sanders should provide some balance for the offense after relying heavily on quarterback Carson Wentz due to the lackluster run game led by Boston Scott and Corey Clement.

There is still speculation regarding their rumored interest in adding another weapon to the backfield such as Devonta Freeman.
