Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders has had a decent start to his rookie year, but there has been one big issue, Sanders has been putting the ball on the field. Against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Sanders fumbled the ball twice on the same drive, with the second one being recovered by the defense.

Even with the fumbling issues, Eagles offensive coordinator Mike Groh knows it's something that can be fixed, so he isn't going to be buried on the bench.

“He knows that he needs to take care of the ball, we all know that,” Groh said via NJ.com. “And so, we’re not going to bury the guy on the bench.”

Groh said there has been a lot of talk this week about the fumbling issues but it's something that Sanders has brought up, and he knows what needs to be better. He also said they are trying to focus on the all the good plays he has made through the first three weeks of the season.

“Think about the two catches he made … very impactful plays in the game,” Groh said. “He really provided offense for us and certainly looked good.”

Sanders has 34 rushing attempts for 106 yards and has caught six receptions for 84 yards along with that one fumble lost. If he continues to fumble the team might have to reevaluate how much playing time he gets but when the Eagles take on the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night, expect to see plenty of Sanders on the field.
