The Philadelphia Eagles ended their disappointing season on a controversial note after head coach Doug Pederson was accused of tanking their regular season finale against the Washington Football Team. Philadelphia has been a mess throughout the season, and Pederson's head-scratching coaching decision late in their Week 17 match-up pretty much summed up their campaign.

With that, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Eagles make changes this off-season. According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Pederson may find himself on the way out if team owner Jeffrey Lurie doesn't see eye to eye with the 52-year old's vision moving forward. That, of course, will all hinge on how their next meeting goes.

To recall, Pederson drew a lot of flak all over the league after he allegedly purposely tanked their regular season finale against Washington.

The Eagles certainly had a shot to defeat Washington on that day, with Philadelphia trailing by just three points early in the final frame. However, Pederson fielded in third-string QB Nate Sudfield in favor of Jalen Hurts to close out the game, which got NFL Twitter talking and a lot of people around the league up in arms.

Even his own players questioned their coach's decision to sub out his starting quarterback in a winnable game. Pederson stressed that he was coaching to win and also wanted to give Sudfield some run before the season ended.

Nonetheless, this probably isn't going to be the main reason why the Eagles will let go of 5th year coach. Of course, their regression this season could be the primary factor for Philadelphia heading into a different direction.
