A heads up defensive play from the Philadelphia Eagles secured Sunday night's win against the Dallas Cowboys, and it resulted in a couple of snow angels at the Cowboys end zone. Dallas linebacker T.J. Edwards came up with the first sack of his career, which allowed the Eagles to score what turned out to be the game-deciding TD.
Here's Edwards' highlight play — including that incredible end zone celebration (h/t NFL on Twitter):
The @Eagles strip sack turns into a scoop and score.

There was a bit of confusion following Edwards' sack, but it was ultimately ruled as a fumble. Eagles DB Rodney McLeod came up with the possession, and he took the live ball right to their end zone for a TD. This ruling was confirmed by the official NFL Officiating account in Twitter:
In #DALvsPHI, the ruling on the field was a fumble. Possession wasn’t established until Eagles safety Rodney McLeod gained possession and ran it back. There was no clear evidence that anyone possessed the ball prior to him, so the ruling on the field stands. pic.twitter.com/pn41u5X3zD

The Cowboys were threatening to tie the game in a key juncture in the fourth period in what was a hard-fought battle between these two top sides. The Eagles defense held up, and Edwards came up with one of the biggest plays in his entire career. Edwards has not exactly been a key player for the Eagles, but its heads up plays such as this that has allowed him to stay relevant for Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy.
The Eagles came away with the 23-9 victory in this one, as they moved to 3-4-1 on the season. This win allowed them to secure the top spot in the NFC East, with the Cowboys falling to third with a 2-6 record. Philly get their bye week up next, and will be back in action against the New York Giants in Week 10.
