England will surely be focused on Sunday's Euro 2020 final against Italy, but they're in a bit of a conundrum following their victory over Denmark. The Three Lions have been charged by UEFA after Danish keeper Kasper Schmeichel was targeted with a laser during Harry Kane's penalty on Wednesday, per ESPN.

Schmeichel initially made the save on the spot-kick, but Kane fired home the rebound to send England through to the final. That penalty also came with its own bit of controversy after Raheem Sterling was taken down in the box on minimal contact. VAR checked the call but decided to not overturn it, which left Denmark boss Kasper Hjulmand absolutely furious on the sidelines.

UEFA has opened another investigation against England due to the lighting of fireworks and disturbances from the Three Lions supporters during the playing of the Danish national anthem. UEFA released this statement in response:

“Disciplinary proceedings have been opened following the UEFA EURO 2020 semifinal match between England and Denmark (2-1), played on 7 July at Wembley Stadium, London.”

Nevertheless, none of this will worry England too much. After all, they're in a Euro final for the first time in their history and will have the opportunity to lift the ultimate prize in front of their fans at Wembley. But, one could say that Gareth Southgate's side was slightly lucky against the Danes because let's be honest, that really wasn't a penalty. Good job by Sterling for selling it, though.
