The new Zack Snyder space adventure, Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire, released a new trailer.
The film is about a young woman searching for a group of warriors to save the galaxy from an invasion from a tyrant, according to Variety.
Netflix's description of the film is: “When the ruthless forces of the Motherworld threaten a quiet farming village on a distant moon, a mysterious outsider becomes its best hope for survival.”

Director Zack Snyder told Total Film that it will take place in the same universe as Army of the Dead, which is another Netflix film of his. “Army of the Dead has a pretty vast mythology that never made it into the movie,” he said. “There's actually a character from Rebel Moon in the Army of the Dead animated series that we never did.”
Regarding the film's length, at first, it was a 172-page script that would've translated into an over three-hour movie. However, Netflix and Snyder worked together to trim it down. Each part of the Rebel Moon franchise will have a director's cut.
“I think for fans of mine and people who are ready to take a deeper, harder dive, that'll be fun for them,” the director told Vanity Fair.
Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire will hit the big screen before Netflix. It will premiere in New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, and London on Dec. 15 in specific theaters and then on Netflix on December 22.
