Max Kellerman officially left ESPN First Take this week, ending a five-year run alongside Stephen A. Smith. Of course, the network didn't take long to find some new candidates for Smith to go head to head with. Per Andrew Marchand of the NY Post, Michael Irvin and Tim Tebow will be joining the show:

As you can see above, Irvin will be on the ESPN show on Mondays for hot takes, then Tebow on Fridays. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday will see various people battle it out with Stephen A. on First Take as well.

ESPN has basically handed this show to their prized possession and it's widely believed that Smith was the reason Kellerman ultimately left. Irvin and Tebow have already had stints within ESPN, so it's not like this will be a whole new thing for both of them. The latter was just released by the Jaguars as well after trying his luck as a tight end.

Stephen A. Smith has ultimately got his wish. He is now the focal point of ESPN First Take. There's no Kellerman competing with him anymore. The network has given him what he's always wanted. It's going to be interesting to see Smith get into heated debates with Michael Irvin and Tim Tebow, especially over the NFL.
