The longtime voice of Fox Sports, Joe Buck, is heading to ESPN alongside Troy Aikman for Monday Night Football. The duo's salaries were recently announced and there are some historic numbers involved. Buck will be making $65 million dollars over five years, while former NFL superstar Aikman will make $90 million over a five-year span. Aikman's contract pushes him ahead of Tony Romo for highest paid sports broadcaster of all-time.

Aikman shared his gratitude to be working with Joe Buck on via Twitter.

“Like most kids of my generation, I grew up watching MNF w Frank Gifford, Howard Cosell & my mom’s favorite Don Meredith so you can only imagine my excitement to be part of the legacy of MNF & continue working w Joe Buck, my broadcast partner for the last 20 years!”

Buck also expressed his joy to be working for ESPN on Monday Night Football by sharing a clip of his first ever national TV appearance from a Triple-A All-Star Game from 1989. Buck then posted a separate Tweet where he discussed his excitement to a part of Monday Night Football which was accompanied by a video.

In the video which accompanied the Tweet, Buck expressed how happy he was to be working with Aikman on Monday Night Football.

Regardless of your opinion on the broadcast duo, there chemistry is apparent given their 20 years of calling games with one another. Monday Night Football will have a different feel with these two calling the games, but sometimes change is for the best. With Buck's legendary voice and Aikman's elite football analysis, MNF is in good hands.
