In a special edition of the Establish the Pass Podcast, we discuss Andrew Luck's shocking retirement, the true culprit in former general manager Ryan Grigson, and the future of the Indianapolis Colts without Luck.

We started with their initial reactions to the news, which seemingly came out of nowhere on an otherwise calm Saturday evening. Next, we delved into some of the critical takes about Luck's decision, countering each one with our own arguments. I then spoke about the destruction Grigson brought to Luck's health, failing to invest in his offensive line, whether it be with draft picks or salary cap space, throughout the developmental years of his career. Luck was the most pressured and hit quarterback in the NFL during Grigson's tenure, and after starting 51 straight games to begin his career, Luck missed 26 of the next 45. The tragic irony is he was finally surrounded by a lot of talent, especially along the line, thanks to new GM Chris Ballard, as well as a brilliant offensive system installed by head coach Frank Reich.

Lastly, we looked at how Luck's retirement impacts the race for the AFC South division title, which now appears to be wide open with four good, but perhaps not great, teams.
