The Atlanta Falcons had a visitor that's sure to turn many heads. According to Falcons team reporter Kelsey Conway, Calvin Johnson is at Atlanta's minicamp.

Calvin Johnson is one of the most dominant receivers of all-time, but retired in his prime. He was just 30 at the time of his retirement, coming off a season that saw him reel in 88 receptions for 1,214 yards and nine touchdowns.

After he retired, many speculated what the exact reasoning was. Meanwhile, controversy brewed as the team he had played for his entire career (the Detroit Lions) wanted some of the signing bonus money back. Due to him retiring, he didn't fulfill his latest contract, so the Lions felt they should get some money returned to them.

This has clearly put a rift between the two parties. Now there are rumors swirling around that Calvin Johnson is considering coming out of retirement. However, he's stated that he's not interested in returning to the Lions unless they pay him back the signing bonus money they forced him to give back.

As of right now, that hasn't happened. That means the wide receiver doesn't appear to want anything to do with the Detroit franchise at the moment.

With that in mind, you have to look at this visit of the Atlanta Falcons camp in a few different lights.

It could simply be that Johnson misses football. He just wants to be around it. There's also the case that he's a Georgia boy. Born in Georgia and having played football at Georgia Tech, it's not a stretch to guess the Falcons were his favorite team growing up. Now he has a chance to watch them play up-close-and-personal, so why not?

Finally, there's the retirement angle. Could this be Calvin Johnson considering coming out of retirement and joining the Atlanta Falcons?

Sadly, only Calvin Johnson himself knows the true motives – everyone else has to wait and see.
