The Atlanta Falcons will likely get their top playmaker back for their Week 14 against the Carolina Panthers, according to Atlanta head coach Dan Quinn.

Jones, a six-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro selection, missed his first game of the season last week. Without Jones, the Falcons struggled in their Thanksgiving day matchup, scoring only 18 points in an eight-point loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Despite making the Super Bowl just three seasons ago, the Falcons find themselves at the bottom of the NFC South with a 3-9 record.

For Jones, his 86.4 yards per game would be his lowest mark since the 2012 season. Additionally, the star receiver has struggled to find the end zone this season compiling just four touchdowns in 11 games and zero since Week 3.

Quinn admitted that Jones would have had a better chance to play last week if the team's game was on Sunday rather than Thursday. Regardless, Jones will be back for the Falcons in Week 14 as Atlanta matches up against a Panthers team that lost four straight games and five of their last six.

In the last game he played, Week 12 against Tampa Bay, Jones recorded five catches on 10 targets for 68 yards.

Atlanta this season ranks in the bottom half of the league in both points scored and points allowed per game with the defense allowing nearly 27 points per game.

On offense, the Falcons' passing game has been statistically strong despite the teams inefficiency as a whole. Jones, along with quarterback Matt Ryan, have tried to keep the Falcons' offense afloat this season and currently rank as the second-best passing offense in the NFL in terms of yards per game with 295.2
