Mohamed Sanu and the Atlanta Falcons were able to pull out a huge 34-29 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. It was a game that the team needed to stay in playoff contention. Atlanta now sits at 2-4 on the season and are set to play against the New York Giants this week on Monday Night Football.

According to a report from Jason Butt of The Athletic, Sanu is expected to play on Monday night.

As you can see, the report also states that wide receiver Calvin Ridley is also expected to play against the Giants this week. Atlanta has to be feeling confident with their offense getting back to full health.

Sanu has been dealing with a hip injury, but it sounds like he should be just fine to return to the field.

Throughout the six games that he has played this season with the Falcons, Mohamed Sanu has caught 22 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns. He has been a perfect compliment for Julio Jones, who has yet to catch a touchdown on the season.

Jones, on the other hand, has caught 44 passes for 708 yards despite not finding the end zone yet.

Atlanta has to defeat the Giants this week. Getting back to 3-4 would give them a fighting chance moving forward this season. Having Sanu on the field will certainly help Matt Ryan continue the big season that he has had thus far.

Expect to see Sanu and Ridley come back strong this week against a weak Giants' secondary. Jones should have a big game as well and the Falcons have a good chance to get their second win in a row.
