The Atlanta Falcons are set to wrap up a disappointing 2018 campaign falling well short of reaching the playoffs after what has been an atrocious second half of the season.

This has also once again shifted much of the attention toward the team making some possible coaching changes centered on offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Falcons will be making a strong consideration in the possibility of moving on from Sarkisian.

It has been nothing short of a disappointing campaign for the Falcons that has seen them fall apart over the last several weeks having dropped five straight games prior to Sunday's 40-14 win over the Arizona Cardinals. This pushed them entirely out of the playoff picture as they were 4-4 through the first eight games that had them in play to possibly make a run at both the NFC South division title and a playoff spot.

However, much of these struggles have come in the way of their offense playing with much inconsistency on the field throughout the year. The bulk of these issues have come during the recent struggles that saw them score no more than 20 points at any point during that stretch. These issues have only heightened the push for the franchise to possibly shake things up on the coaching staff under head coach Dan Quinn.

The Falcons have plenty of talent across the board with Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Ryan along with a group of highly formidable wide receivers led by Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Mohammad Sanu. Although they have ventured much of the season without Devonta Freeman, backup Tevin Coleman has proven that he can be a major factor in an expanded role. The writing may already be on the way for a change at the offensive coordinator position.
