One of the changes the NBA made this year on how All-Star starters will be selected is not making the fan votes be the only basis for it.

Instead of the fans having the full say on who starts in each conference, media and player votes will account for 25 percent each and then will be calculated by averaging the three voting groups.

The reserves will still be chosen through a vote among the coaches from each squad's respective conference.

With the changes made to the process and some of the players being vocal about their approval of it, Adam Silver and company certainly assess if they made the right decision.

After the first year under the new system, it will surely be put under the microscope to determine the success.
