The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have put together a strong college football recruiting effort under new head coach Marcus Freeman. That continued on Friday, as the Fighting Irish added to a 2023 class that currently ranks as the best in the nation in 247 Sports' rankings. Four-star wide receiver Jaden Greathouse is headed to Notre Dame, as reported by Tom Loy of 247 Sports.

Westlake four-star receiver Jaden Greathouse is the latest class of 2023 prospect to commit to Notre Dame. This is a huge win for head coach Marcus Freeman, offensive coordinator Tommy Rees and receivers coach Chansi Stuckey.

Jaden Greathouse was a star at Westlake. As a junior, he tallied 66 catches for 1,274 yards and 2o touchdowns. That was an improvement upon the 1,145 yards and 13 scores he had produced as a sophomore. He is ranked as the no. 113 overall player in the nation.

It's a major move by the Fighting Irish.

The best part? Notre Dame beat out other top schools, such as South Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma, for the services of Greathouse. The 6-2, 215-pound receiver was a part of three state champion teams, so he's bringing a winning pedigree to South Bend.

That's music to the ears of Fighting Irish fans, as the program has advanced to five straight bowl games. There may have been some uncertainty when former Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly departed for LSU, though new head coach Freeman seems to be building a strong core for the future.

Fighting Irish fans have a lot to look forward to.
