AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation is a unique experience for the various seasoned commentators of the promotion.

With the benefit of quicker, less consequential matches and the magic of editing, the commentators often get to let loose a little more and have some fun while working the various matches. This has especially been true for the rag-tag duo of Excalibur and Taz and their fun little quibbles, but both shows are capable of having commentary that's more memorable than the matches themselves.

So, to go along with Tony Khan's push to promote Ring of Honor's Death Before Dishonor, YouTube viewers around the world were treated to one of the voices of Ring of Honor commentary, Caprice Coleman, alongside Tony Schiavone for this latest edition of Elevation.

Now, the inclusion of Ring of Honor personnel on AEW programming is nothing new, at least since Khan bought the company. Coleman himself has been on AEW multiple times, as has his old broadcasting partner Ian Riccaboni, and for good reason. They're both very talented commentators, and they clearly know the work of ROH veterans that crossed over from the end of the Sinclair days like Jonathan Gresham.

Still, it was a real treat to see Coleman on a longer-form show in a more relaxed environment, and the man himself seems to really love working with commentary legends like Schiavone. Tony Khan's promotional work for Ring of Honor on AEW programming has done a great job at drumming up excitement while delivering interesting angles – who could have seen that Gresham heel turn coming – and showcasing the amazing talent that was present on the brand before its hiatus on a much bigger stage.

Of course, Death Before Dishonor should be a solid show with great commentary if the dynamic duo of Coleman and Riccaboni return, which thankfully appears to be the case.
