Die-hard Formula 1 fans might pretend they predicted a Pierre Gasly win in the Italian Grand Prix, but they'd be lying, as he was a relatively large underdog heading into the weekend. And yet, here we are, and the Gasly benefitted after the red flag stoppage, resulting in one of the biggest upsets in all of sports.

“Honestly it’s unbelievable,” Pierre Gasly said immediately after the Italian Grand Prix. “It was such a crazy race and we capitalized on it. I’ve been through so much in 18 months, I struggle to realize this. I’ve got no words. This team has done so much for me, now they’re giving me my first win. It’s an amazing day. It’s been so long since another French winner! I never expected but this, I’m so happy!”
