For every John Calipari and Nick Saban, who both enjoy the unique aspect of college coaching that is the recruiting of players, there's a Fred Hoiberg, who finds it detestable.

Hoiberg didnt mince words while expressing his disdain for the recruiting during an interview with Front Office Show's Keith Smith.

Hoiberg's choice of language makes it easy to detect just how little fun he had doing it in the five years he was calling the shots for the Iowa State Cyclones.

The Cyclones, however, had one of the school's most successful stretches under Hoiberg from 2010-2015, reaching the NCAA tournament four times while winning the Big 12 Tournament twice (2014, 2015). Hoiberg finished his coaching stint at Iowa State with a 115-56 record, becoming school's fastest coach to win 100 games.

After splitting up with the Cyclones program in 2015, Hoiberg went on to coach for the Chicago Bulls. In the same interview, Hoiberg added that coaches should not be dipping their hands too much on other activities he deemed miscellaneous for his profession.

With the way the Bulls are being run these days by a front office that doesn't seem to have a concrete plan for the team's future, Hoiberg might want to change his stance on the limits of a coach in terms of helping a franchise make executive decisions.
