Countless fighting game pros from all over the world congregated in the three-day event but only one took home the belt. The Joker main dominated the rest of the competition and fought back from the loser's bracket. SONICFOX CHAMPIONSHIP RUN
The tournament organized by WePlay Esports had all the makings of a proper wrestling pay-per-view event. The fighters had to face off against each surrounded by grills reminiscent of the ones used for cage matches. Additionally, the contenders fought for a literal championship belt displayed proudly in the middle of the stage. The fighters involved also fought for the chance to take home the USD 15,000 cash prize. The event provided the proper setting for the crowning of a new Fighting Game champion.

SonicFox reset the series with a close 5-4 win before completely dominating Tekken Master. Subsequently, the WUFL Season 1 champion expressed their immense excitement at winning the tournament via a private Twitter account.
