As the best adventurer in all of Teyvat, our Traveler is once again sent on a commission to solve the case of animals missing throughout Inazuma. In Genshin Impact version 2.3, this new event is called Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog. Like a thief in the night, an unknown being has apparently swiped all sorts of animals from their homes and shelter, only to guard them in distant places. Their motives are yet unknown, and it’s the Traveler’s job to find out what’s happening and solve the case.

In places where the investigations will take place, players will go through a Metal Gear-like stealth procedure. They will need to retrieve the missing animals, while avoiding the Canine Bunshin who guards the captives. Players will be provided with the Ubiquity Net, a device used to retrieve the animals, which can also be used to briefly incapacitate the Bunshin who patrols the area. These Bunshin guards have vision and aggro cones, which players will need to carefully avoid to prevent combat altogether.

There is also another place of investigation, called “Dens of Thieves”, where players can actively fight guarding Treasure Hoarders, and free animals from their cages. Once enough objectives are met, players will be rewarded with the ‘Omni-Ubiquity Net’. This gadget allows players to capture certain creatures in the open world, and place them inside the Serenitea Pot. This way, players will not need to rely on pure chance from Traveling Salesmen anymore, for them to get the animals they want in their realms.

Genshin Impact‘s Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog has various rewards, from Mora and enhancement materials, to Primogems and the new Gadget. This event is the first of its kind, and players will surely be delighted with how easy this event will be.
