After a year of waiting, MultiVersus is back and better than ever with new characters to unlock. Prior to the game shutting down, it had 23 characters during the Open Beta. Now with Season 1's launch, there are a total of 27 characters to unlock. With that being said, here's a full guide on how to unlock all of them.

How to Unlock All MultiVersus Characters

MultiVersus is a free-to-play fighting game filled with characters from the Warner Bros. IP. These are inclusive of characters from Adventure Time, DC, Friday the 13th, Game of Thrones, Gremlins, Looney Tunes, Matrix, Rick and Morty, Scooby-Doo, Space Jam, Steven Universe, and Tom & Jerry.

MultiVersus Characters

While it's an exciting idea to play as your favorite Warner Bros. character, not everyone will be available to use from the get-go. Players need to either complete certain challenges or spend in-game currency to unlock them all.

Adventure Time

  • Finn – Players can either purchase him for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency
  • Jake – Players can either purchase him for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency
  • Banana Guard – As of Season 1, the only way to unlock him is by logging in daily. Depending on when a player logs in, they should be able to unlock him come their second login.

DC

  • Batman – Players can either purchase him for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency
  • Black Adam – Players can either purchase him for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency
  • Harley Quinn – Players can either purchase her for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency
  • The Iron Giant – Players can either purchase it for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency
  • The Joker – Players can either purchase him for 1,250 Gleamium or 6,000 Fighter Currency
  • Superman – Players can either purchase him for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency
  • Wonder Woman – Players can either purchase her for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency

Friday the 13th

  • Jason Voorhees – As of Season 1, the only to unlock him is by purchasing the Premium Pass. Players will immediately unlock him upon purchase.

  • Arya – Players can either purchase her for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency

Gremlins

  • Gizmo – Players can either purchase him for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency
  • Stripe – Players can either purchase him for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency

Looney Tunes 

  • Bugs Bunny – Players can either purchase him for 1,000 Gleamium or 3,000 Fighter Currency

  • Agent Smith – As of Season 1, the only way of unlocking him is by completing the “Beat Rifts, Get Agent Smith Free!” event.

Scooby-Doo

  • Shaggy – Players will immediately unlock him as the tutorial character.

Given how MutliVersus is a game that follows the concept of colliding universes, each character also comes in different variants. These variants are essentially skins that players can purchase in the store. However, some variants slightly change the gameplay of a particular character.
