Perkz could be playing for Cloud9 next season. There's absolutely no confirmation or announcement from the NA organization but one short video may be all the proof we need. EU Mid-turned-Carry superstar Luka “Perkz” Perković appeared in a short welcome video that was sent out to premium C9 fans.
Stratus is C9's $500 premium membership experience. The service offered behind-the-scenes goodies for C9 fans for a nominal fee. Cloud9 promised its Stratus subscribers all sorts of exclusive goods both digital and physical but no one could have predicted a possible early look at its roster for 2021. The short video was sent through Stratus members stating that “someone wants to welcome you personally.”
Article Continues BelowPerkz has been making the rounds on news sites starting from when it was revealed that he was considering leaving G2 Esports. Now that he has officially parted ways with his long-time team, fans constantly speculated which team he would join.
Perkz made no announcements regarding his team shift. He only hinted at the possibility of playing for an NA squad. It's fair to think that any team would be lucky to have him on the squad. Perkz has shown his ability to command both AD Carry and Mid roles. This makes him a versatile player that can fit into any lineup.
Maybe C9 did not intend for this short video to reach members outside of their subscription, but it's out of their hands now. Fans should expect an official roster announcement from Cloud9 within the coming days. Should Perkz join C9, they will undoubtedly make waves in the NA League of Legends region.
