Riot Games teased several game projects that were in the works back in October 2019. Since then, the League of Legends developers has branched out to different game genres outside MOBAs. They launched the digital collectible card game Legends of Runeterra in April 2020 and the skill-based team shooter Valorant in June of the same year. The team is also hard at work trying to bring League of Legends to mobile devices with Wild Rift which is currently in beta in multiple regions.
Two games remain unseen and unplayed since Riot announced their new game ventures. One upcoming title is a fighting game that features League of Legends characters. The other title is easily recognizable as an MMO to the trained eye of MMO players. We have heard no news on the upcoming games up until today.
It's finally happening!
I have news!
My recent job at Riot has been to help develop the League universe, which we’re going to need!
Because it is time. My new job is to kick off a big (some might say massive) game that many of you, and many Rioters, have been asking us to create.
PS We’re hiring

Riot's inter-genre domination seems to be continuing at a steady pace with the confirmation of the new project. Fans will have to wait for official word from Riot so we can learn more about this exciting new project. Riot Games has already crafted a wonderful sprawling universe in League of Legends that's full of colorful characters and gripping storylines.
