Twitch Support announced that starting Tuesday, August 10, Twitch users will finally know the reason behind their bans and suspensions.

It has been one of the biggest contentions in Twitch of all time. Streamers and creators could get banned for not-so-obvious reasons and then be left guessing why. That's about to change, as Twitch sees to it that streamers and content creators are now informed of why they're getting punished.

In a tweet, the Twitch Support account says:

“As of today, enforcement notifications sent to suspended users will include the name of the content and the date of the violation to ensure they have better clarity about what content is being actioned on.”

Suspended users will receive an email after their ban or suspension, which should give them an idea of what their violation was. It will also give users other relevant information, such as the time and date of violation, as well as the title of the video that caused the ban. Twitch users will also find the duration of their suspensions on the email.

While this is definitely a step towards the right direction, some Twitch users are still not completely happy with this improvement. Twitch affiliate Preliator complains that a friend of his didn't know about his suspension until his next attempt at live streaming.

“You should also start sending emails as soon as an account it banned/suspended instead of them finding out through obs when they try to go live. Happened to my buddy in the past few days. He got the email almost 24 hours later.”

Here's to hoping that Twitch continues implementing relevant changes for their users and community.
