Some people on the internet will do anything they can just to win an internet argument. For example, a War Thunder player, who is believed to be a Royal Tank Regiment of the United Kingdom commander, would leak confidential military documents.

The aptly named Fear_Naught got into an argument on War Thunder‘s online message boards on the design of the Challenger 2 tank. The FV4034 Challenger 2 is a British main battle tank used in the UK and Oman. According to Fear_Naught, War Thunder devs Gaijin Entertainment got the designs wrong for the tank. When the other people on the forum didn't agree with him, he started posting edited screenshots of classified military documents to prove his case.

Gaijin was – quite understandably – concerned with a possibly classified document being shared around their message boards. They contacted the UK's Ministry of Defense to check the veracity of the documents. It turns out that Fear_Naught was right, so congratulations to him for winning this internet debate. However, Gaijin had to remove any traces of the document on their message boards. “By continuing to disseminate it you are in violation of the Official Secrets Act as stated by the warning on the cover of the document,”  writes Gaijin's Senior Technical Moderator Templar. Breaking the Official Secrets Act can get people in prison for up to fourteen years, and Gaijin won't risk getting prosecuted for the sake of an internet debate.
