Genshin Impact 2.2 will be coming very soon. and we'll finally get new content drops once again. Most players, however, are more excited about which characters they'll have the chance to pull for in the upcoming banners. Thankfully, the Genshin Impact version 2.2 Special Program didn't leave any doubts on who is coming up next. For version 2.2, there will be no new 5-star characters introduced (apart from Aloy, who now becomes available for everyone else who didn't get her in version 2.1_. Instead, the new character banners will feature Chile and Hu Tao re-runs.

The Childe re-run will arrive first. Childe, also known as Tartaglia, is the Eleventh and most recent of the Harbingers of the Fatui. He's a 5-Star Hydro Bow User who can switch between his ranged bow and melee double daggers through his Elemental Skill. This will be Childe's second re-run, with his first one coming out last April.

Meanwhile, the next character event banner will feature a Hu Tao re-run. She runs the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor and is one of the most popular characters in Genshin Impact. Hu Tao is a 5-Star Pyro Polearm User who plays best with her signature weapon, the Staff of Homa, which is coincidentally one of the most powerful polearms in the game. Hu Tao's re-run will also coincide with the release of a new 4-Star character, Thoma, the protector of the Yashiro Commission.
